Using the Chateau theme and unable to specify which image gets displayed for thumb on tag posts pages. The featured image that displays in the sidebar is not the one that shows when the post is published. It's important for me to control which featured image gets displayed. Also, how can I display only images with no text in the tags gallery.
The blog I need help with is newgenesisres.wordpress.com.

If you wish you can copy the code from the HTML editor for the thumbnail image and the text teaser of the length you want into the excerpt box below the editor box. That will override the excerpt that's coded into the theme. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/

Terribly sorry for taking so long to respond to your question. I wanted to try to apply the instructions to publishing new posts which hasn'nt been successful. I really appreciate Timethief’s references provided to help me, but when I look at the bottom of my HTML text editor window I don’t see the excerpt box below the editor box she mentions unless it is a widget that I haven’t activated yet. The ability to do this is very important for me; I’d like to publish a post today and if you have any further clarification on the subject I’d welcome it.
The upload/insert dialog box allows option to designate which image to uses as featured post image, and then doing so, the option is presented to place the image. If I only designate the featured image is shows up at bottom of right sidebar w/o codes, until or if I place the image. Placing the image, I then see HTML code for the image; the image also shows up on all other posts subsequently published instead of that specific post.
In the tags gallery I always see full images placed in the image area and text only appear in the image if you mouse-over the image. That’s what I’m trying to achieve.
