   I would like to publish my own papers, but some are quite lengthy. It would be much more efficient if I could simply build a page that has links to my papers, which are stored on my PC. If anyone knows how to do this, help would be much appreciated.

   Your PC cannot act as an internet file server. You have to upload the documents to your media library here and then you can link to those files in your media library from within pages or posts, or from a text widget in your sidebar.

   That's what I thought, but I didn't know how to go about uploading my files to the server. Thanks for you help!
