I bought a new domain (densytics.com) through wordpress.com and my blog is correctly redirecting to the new domain but I still see the wordpress.com url. I tried to make densytics.com the primary domain but in chrome I get an error saying that this caused an infinite redirect loop. How do I change the url so that my new domain shows in the url bar of the browser? Thanks.

You need to set the domain name URL to primary. It can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet and during this time visiting your site can be erratic.
Ok, I clicked the "Update Primary Domain" button and made the new domain the primary domain. I did not get the browser error but I still see the wordpress.com url. So, I guess I need to wait 24 to 72 hours before I see the new domain?
Your site resolves to the mapped domain name fine for me. Try clearing your browser cache and forcing a page update. Usually changes start to happen within a few hours but it seems the original blog owner is the last one to see the changes.
