zhenyasenyakI may have blown it I created my first magazine like blog, MPNforum.com where features like articles and columns are set up as separate Pages. Now, I want to archive JUNE so when I post JULY I can continue the same way. It looks tough like I have to convert those pages to posts to use the archive shortcode.
(I set up Pages to keep copy private until posting publicly.)

Unfortunately, they can't be converted in that sense. I'm afraid you'll have to use the old-fashioned copy and paste method.

Yes, pages are a static form of content, so they aren't included in archives.
