How can I customize my header the entire width of the blog? On which templates?

  1. How can I *really* customize my header? The Superhero template comes with a header that is a dark gray strip with a sans-serif font to display the title in the upper-left hand side. With Superhero, "custom header" is an option, but when I upload my image, what I then see is the dark gray strip, much thicker now and taking up more screenspace, the same sans-serif title font, and my picture above it. By "Custom Header," I thought I'd be able to wipe out the gray strip and Sans Serif title font, replacing it with a header entirely of my own, stretching the entire width of the page. In which free templates is this possible? What is this feature called? (Superhero is listed as having a "flexible header," but I am not finding it to be very flexible.)

The blog I need help with is demetertrimeter.wordpress.com.

  2. not demetertrimeter.wordpress.com, its for sadpower.wordpress.com
    thanks.
