How can I get and use an address of a site I have deleted for another one ?

  1. Hi,
An ancient owner of a site gave me its adress. I became the new owner of the site : galatee.wordpress.com. I have deleted it to use its address to my actual site : galateecrea.wordpress.com. But when I want to change my actual address "galateecrea.wordpress.com" in "galatee.worpress.com", it doesn't work. The answer is : "This site already exists". I have verified that this site, galatee.worpress.com, is no longer available. How can I get and use this address ?
    Thaks for your answers

The blog I need help with is galateecrea.wordpress.com.

  2. galatee.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.

You cannot "undelete" any blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. Once clicked the blog URL is forever gone, gone, gone.

You cannot recover or register any deleted blog URL. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
