How can I improve what Google sees?

  1. I get daily Google alerts on my blog's name sent to my inbox. Despite writing an excerpt, this is a typical example of what Google sees:

"Claiming a Charter for Tartitude « Tartitude
Claiming a Charter for Tartitude. August 11 2009 by hope101 ... Tartitude. Note this gravatar is not the real me It is symbolic of my quest for the pith ..."

That's the title of my latest post, and then a snippet of text from my blavatar.

What am I missing? Is there some way to orient my page so that Google would pull up the first words of the post or my excerpt.

    Thanks in advance! http://cherrytart.wordpress.com

The blog I need help with is cherrytart.wordpress.com.

  2. Google's fault. They're messing around with the way they index blogs again, and the best suggestion I can come up with is to blog more. More information = larger sample size = more accurate average grabs.

  3. Sigh. Okay, thanks raincoaster. Blog on!
