I just moved form wordpress.com to wordpress.org. My followers were moved, but I don´t know why the rss of my new posts don´t appear on the wordpress.com reader, as I already ask a lot of my followers and I have verify by suscribing.

Is there something else I should have done before moving ? or what should I do

The blog I need help with is thirtysomethingchic.com.

  2. The blog you specified at thirtysomethingchic.com does not appear to be hosted at WordPress.com.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you'll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

  3. Your new site is not a part of the WordPress.com community. It's a WordPress.org install. That's why your posts do not appear in the WordPress.com Reader.

  5. Did you read what I said above? Your new site is not hosted by WordPress.com. WordPress.org and WordPress.com are completely separate and your new site is not part of the WordPress.com community. That's why your posts do not appear in the WordPress.com Reader.

yes I know. But I also have another blog in wordpress.org and the rss appears on the wordpress.com reader.

I just want to know if there was something I should have done before moving or if I have to do something on my wordpress.com blog to make it work.

    Thank you.

Dont talk to me as Im dumb, that is why Im asking.

  8. If your wish to add your blog to the blogs your follow on the Reader you can do that. If your believe your posts ought to appear on the WordPress.com Topics pages that's a no go. I repeat the new blog is not part of the WordPress.com community. It's a WordPress.org install. Your posts will not be automatically posted to the WordPress.com Topics pages because WordPress.com is not hosting the new blog.

    thanks

  12. I said above that if you wish to subscribe to your new WordPress.org install and follow it in the WordPress.com Reader you can do that. Go to http://wordpress.com/#!/read/edit/ and add it. But do not expect your posts to appear automatically appear on the WordPress.com Topics pages (Categories/Tags pages) because the blog is not being hosted by WordPress.com.

  13. Your welcome and best wishes with your new site.

thanks. Its weird because my other blog that is on wordpress.org since day one appears as rss on my wordpress.com reader. Also some other blogs that I follow and have moved to wordpress.org appear on my wordpress.com as rss.

I don´t know if it had to do with the transfer.
    Thank you.

  15. We can enter any RSS feed URL to any blog hosted anywhere into our WordPress.com Reader. Our WordPress.com followers with WordPress.com accounts can do the same. However, that does not mean blog posts on blogs that are not hosted by WordPress.com will appear in the WordPress.com Topic pages because they are not part of the WordPress.com community.

If you have another blog that is hosted by WordPress.com then the posts you assign categories and tags to will appear on the relevant WordPress.com Topics pages unless these reasons apply. http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#get-your-content-to-appear-in-topics
