How can I map my GoDaddy Domain to WordPress?

  1. This domain has already been mapped to a WordPress.com blog issues. My blog is bklawgroupllc.wordpress.com; however I am trying to get my domain bklawgroupllc.com to be mapped to it. I do not have any other WordPress blogs associated with this domain.
    Blog url: http://bklawgroupllc.wordpress.com/

  2. Did you follow this guide to map an existing domain to your WordPress.com blog? http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
If so then has 72 hours time passed yet? It can take between 24 - 72 hours for a domain name change to propagate throughout the internet.

  3. Yes I followed it. It has been 72 hours too.

  4. I don't see any Domain Mapping purchases on your account.

Following the guide at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/ you need to purchase a domain mapping upgrade by adding the domain via Store -> Domains in your blog's Dashboard.

  5. That's because it wont let me purchase! When I go to the "Store" and select the domain name bklawgroupllc.com (this is for a law firm), it says that the domain is already linked to another Blog. I had finally discovered what blog it was "linking" to and deleted that blog as it was inactive. Now, 2 hours later, it still claims that the domain is linked to a different blog. How do I get my new and current blog to be (1) accepted/recognized as an available domain and (2) attached to my new blog (bklawgroupllc.wordpress.com). I already have the DNS servers pointing to WordPress from my host GoDaddy.

  6. It also won't let me repurchase my old domain because it says "This domain has already been mapped to a WordPress.com blog." I thought deleted that blog would "release" my domain from the blog and give me opportunity to purchase, but it still has it mapped to old blog. Is there any way anyone can help me? I am stuck and really need this site going. Please!

  7. Sorry for the confusion!

I can cancel that domain mapping subscription, but I'll need to see the request from the user who owns it, floridahomemanagers.

OK. I have logged into the other blog. Please cancel that domain mapping subscription, thank you.

  9. I have canceled your domain mapping as requested.
