I've now added a third page to my list of pages. However, the list of pages under my heading photo runs into the search box. It doesn't look nice, and it is confusing. How may I fix this?

You can use a very short page slug for the page tab. You can modify the page slug by clicking the Edit button next to it.

You can choose another theme here > http://theme.wordpress.com/
Or you can purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade and do the required CSS editing to remove the searchbox.

No, you just go to Appearance > Theme Options and select the option to hide the searchbox.
