How can I reduce the space between widgets in the Twenty Twelves theme?

  1. I tried to reduce the padding for widgets in the CSS, to no effect. I'm wondering if I'm missing the right snippet of CSS to reduce the space between widgets. I'd also like to reduce body text line height across the blog (uberdish.ca), but have had no success. With thanks.

    Hi! Can you try this, then adjust as necessary?

    .widget-area .widget {
    	margin-bottom: 24px;
    	margin-bottom: 1.714285714rem;
    }

    I'd also like to reduce body text line height across the blog (uberdish.ca)

    How about this?

    .entry-content p,
    .entry-summary p,
    .comment-content p {
    	line-height: 1.285714286;
    }
  3. Thanks so much for this. The line height adjustment worked, but I've seen no effect with the spacing between widgets. I'm wondering if perhaps I've not placed it correctly in my CSS panel (I know that CSS adjustments need to come in the same order that elements appear in the original stylesheet). Any ideas?

  4. I've seen no effect with the spacing between widgets.

    Did you get this sorted out with the following? :-)

    .widget-area .widget {
    	margin-bottom: 5px;
    	margin-bottom: .7rem;
    }
  5. No, I can't see any change in the actual spacing between widgets on the site. Am I missing something? I appreciate you checking in.

  6. I was comparing your changes side–by–side with the Twenty Twelve theme demo.

    Can you try clearing your browser cache?

  7. You're right, it is working but I had it cached. Thanks so much.

  8. You're welcome — cheers! :-)
