How can I remove a blog from "My Blogs" linked to my WordPress account?

  1. How can I remove a blog from "My Blogs" linked to my WordPress account? I have several WP accounts, but somehow one my blogs is linked to two, and I only want one account to manage the URL.

The blog I need help with is cabbie-hats.com.

  2. Provided you post the URLs of self hosted blogs you want deleted from your account into a forum thread like this one, Staff can do this for you. Please do that now as I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

    Hiya.

Like timethief said: If you reply and let me know the name/URL of the blog you wish to be removed from your account, I can sort this out.

  4. @timethief: Thanks very much.

@iamclickysteve: That would be great. Currently there are three blogs assigned to my account: "κτίσμα," "KTISMAjournal," and "CABBIE HATS." I only wish to remove the last from this account (but not delete the blog––I manage another account that runs "CABBIE HATS"). Feel free to get in touch with any questions. Thanks again!

    Hey,

The reason you are seeing cabbie-hats.com listed under your WordPress.com account is because it is running Jetpack, which has to be linked back to a user here. To clarify: the site only has one WordPress.com user connected to it.

I suspect that the other account that you are talking about is your cabbie-hats.com admin account, which is hosted using WordPress.org. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

Please check out the following links to learn the differences.

I can remove cabbie-hats.com from your WordPress.com account, but this means it will cause all of the benefits of the Jetpack plugin to stop working.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

  6. Understood. I didn't know the Jetpack package was linked to the other admin account. Thanks for clearing this up. I'd like some time to slowly remove the Jetpack functions from the KTISMAjournal site before "cutting ties," so to speak. Once I'm finished, I will reply here. Thanks for all your help.

  7. I've deactivated and removed the Jetpack plugin from the KTISMAjournal site.

I think I need some clarification. Currently, only "Cabbie Hats" and "κτίσμα" are listed under "My Blogs" on this WordPress.com account. I have two other accounts, both with WordPress.org. As far as this account goes, I would like to remove "Cabbie Hats," but retain "κτίσμα." If you were to remove "Cabbie Hats," it would deactivate all Jetpack uses? Why is that? Is there a way to just "un-list" CH from this account's blog?

  8. Howdy,

In order to make proper use of Jetpack's features, a WordPress.com account is required, so if I remove the link from cabbie-hats.com, then it will prevent the plugin from working correctly; this is by design, with no way around it.

    Best,
