how can I remove "leave a reply" from static home page?

  1. I have not been able to figure out how I can delete the "Leave Reply" box from most of my pages. I certainly do not want it on my home page.

None of the search results either on the WordPress.com site, nor through Google help. There are ways to do it if I install WordPress on my computer but that is not what I wish to do.

I look forward to any help on this topic.

The blog I need help with is alphavictoria.wordpress.com.

  2. ...when you're editing a post or page there's an option to close replies for that post or page. It's under the 'discussion' tab:

  3. I cannot find the option to close replies. The only tab I can see when I am editing the page labelled "discussion" is under "Settings". Am I looking in the wrong place? In that tab, there is nothing showing an option to close replies that I can see.

  4. This page > Settings > Discussion is where you set up defaults for comments.

We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

Note: By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion module hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion.

  5. WOW! Thanks so much. I would have NEVER found this on my own. I am most grateful for your assistance.

  6. You're welcome.
