How can I remove text from my "About SeaBeads" page?

  1. How can I remove text from my About SeaBeads page? It concerns my answer to an email I got from WordPress. I got irritated because your email implied that I am vain because I 'liked' on of my own posts accidentally.

The blog I need help with is seabeads.wordpress.com.

  2. This is the URL http://seabeads.wordpress.com/over/
Go to > Dashboard > Pages > All Pages and hover over the page title.
Click the Edit link and proceed. This is how to edit any page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/

  3. I did that but the text I want to remove is in the responses. When someone wants to make a comment on one of my posts the text is immediately visible. This was a private email I sent to WordPress and it suddenly appeared on my About SeaBeads page. Please have a look at it.

  4. You can remove any comment form your blog. Go to > Dashboard > Comments and click the Approved link. http://seabeads.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php?comment_status=approved Locate the comment and click the "Trash" link.

  5. You can change the text that you entered into the comment prompt at the very bottom of the page in Dashboard > Settings >Discussion Settings. "Save changes".

Note that you have complete control over everything that's posted to your blog via comment moderation

  6. I'm sorry but I can't change anything at all. The comment I'm referring to in in big black letters and very different in appearance than the other comments or feedbacks in this case. I can't find it in either comments or feedbacks so I cannot remove it.

  7. The big black letters are what you posted yourself.

What a strange email you sent me about being vain. I just made a mistake (I wanted to like someone elses post and accedentily pressed my own), Please stop sending me your personal opinions in emails.

That is not a comment. It looks to me like you entered that into the comment prompt at the very end of the page here > Dashboard Settings > Discussion
    Comment Form
    Prompt

  8. No, I didn't. I sent this reply by my normal email and did not put in on my blog.

I'm sorry for my strong comment. I will never react like that again, I promise! What do I have to do to get this text removed because I really can't do it myself it seems.

  9. I finally managed to get rid of the text. Thanks a lot for your help and time. Will behave in future.

    Greetings from Karin.
