How do I add a follow me button for Pinterest?

  1. How do I add a follow me on pinterest button? I have the share this button, but I want to add the button to lead people to my Pinterest page.

The blog I need help with is craftsviahand.wordpress.com.

  2. You can add new services via the sharing feature here:

I've already added the share this butten for pinterest too, but would also like to add a pinterest widget to my sidebar with my twitter widget and facebook widget, so people can find, go to and follow my actual pinterest site/page as shown here https://help.pinterest.com/entries/22367081-New-Buttons-and-Widgets-for-Websites
Pinterest gives us the code and i've tried applying to a text widget in wordpress and an image widget as advised through forums and support yet neither works.

Thanks so much for your help! :)

Thanks so much, you are wonderful, all done and very easy! :)

  5. Happy Blogging!

  6. dlager, Thank you for that link! I've been trying to do this too but failing repeatedly. I've got it now!

  7. I went to that link above and followed those directions, but the button isn't showing up on my blog. Instead, "Follow Me on Pinterest" is showing up as clickable text, which is not what I want. I want the Pinterest button, which is what I had before, but my whole sidebar got deleted when I tried out a new theme. When I switched back to my old theme, I found I lost everything on my sidebar. So I've been trying to rebuild everything that was on my sidebar. But I can't get my Pinterest button back for some reason. Can anyone help me? I've tried using a text and an image widget, but neither is working.

but my whole sidebar got deleted when I tried out a new theme.

Nothing is ever lost when changing themes and that includes widgets. Your widgets migrate to the Inactive Widgets box is all. After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes.

  9. Thanks a lot! That worked.

  10. Oh! I just noticed I answered you twice in two different threads and didn't notice the duplication.
