How do I add widgets to the LEFT sidebar?

  1. How do I add widgets to the LEFT sidebar?

The blog I need help with is jillisactive.com.

  2. I'm sorry but you didn't post a link to the blog in question starting with http:// and I need it in order to answer your question correctly. Please post it now.

  3. http://jillisactive.com/

But I think I figured it out - my theme won't support it and I don't like the themes that do support this capability. It seems like there aren't a lot of them?

  4. You dont is the anser to your question if this is your blog http://jillisactive.com/

If it is your blog go to the bottom of your theme and click the "Liquorice " link. There you see that the theme description states '"ight sidebar" as the theme does not have a left sidebar coded into the template. We cannot edit templates or themes on our free hosted blog here at WordPress.com and CSS editing cannot be used to add a sidebar to a theme that does not already have one.

This is how to link your username to your blog so it can be instantly located > Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/ The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.
