How do I change author name?

  1. This path: Dashboard/Manage/Posts/Author/Edit appears to be where I should go.
The "edit" function does not allow me to change the author name in the dateline (time stamp).
How can I do this? ...Roger

  2. I don't believe it can be changed after it's been posted. Do you want to change the user's name, or do you want to attribute the post to an entirely different author? Because I don't think you can do the latter at all; the former, the user has to do and I don't think it works retroactively.

I want to attribute the post to an entirely different author.
At the moment it shows "sillybooks" - the name of the blog owner; and I do not know how it ever got there. Perhaps because it is the primary, or original, post?
And you feel I do not have an option to change this?

  4. Some templates will always show the username associated with the blog as the author of every post unless another author specifically writes the post. You can change to a template that doesn't show the author, or you can delete the post and have the author you WISH to have it attributed to post it, and then it will be under their name.

  5. Thanks again, raincoaster. Your response gives sufficient information for me to close this.

  6. Your welcome and best of luck.
