How do I change my icon?

    I see people leave comments and they have cool pictures, how do I change mine?

    It's called an avatar. Go to your profile in your dashboard and you can upload one. It may take an hour or so for it to work its way through all the servers so it will not show up immediately.

    Speaking of icon, I wonder if wordpress would allow an upgraded domain member to have a site icon beside that of WP. Anyone?

    There was talk about allowing people to have their own favicon, but nothing ever came of it.

    When I go on my dashboard, I can't seem to find where to change my 'avatar'. Where could I change it?

    In your dashboard click on your "Name" next to the word "Howdy" in up right
    hand of your dashboard.

    Wait. I just uploaded one then I commented my friend and it didn't show up as the one I wanted.

    It takes time for it to make it through all of the WordPress.com servers.

    This still isn't working for me unfortunately. I have a section where I can change the color scheme, another for my name, and another for my contact information. Other than that, nothing for an avatar. What am I missing? :-(

    Just as a further bit of information, I'm the only admin on my site, and thus the only account. I don't think that should make a difference, but I'll be disappointed if it does.
