When sharing on facebook and twitter, my gravatar (?) doesn't match my wordpress profile pic. Why not? Also, the picture at the top left corner of my blog is not the same as the one in the top right corner (which is my actual profile pic). Can someone help?

i keep seeing this, 'settings then general'...but there IS no 'general' under settings. i have my avatar and i have removed the cats pajamas on my BLOG, but on my PORTFOLIO i can't get rid of the W or the cats pajamas. i keep looking and looking but there IS no general under settings.
