How do I change the post display image?

  1. I can't figure out how to change the display image for a new post on the main blog site. When you first click my blog, (yourcaptainspeaking) the list of posts comes up and the first one has a weird geometric design that I cannot figure out how to change. I've managed my Gravatars and added media, but the geometric pictures won't disassociate with the post. How do I correct this?

The blog I need help with is yourcaptainspeaking.wordpress.com.

  2. you can see the image right there next to my name actually... that weird textile-like pattern... I want to change that and cannot figure out how.

  3. Hi there,
Gravatar images are cached and frequently take several days to display after a change. Do not keep uploading! The first place they tend to display is here in the forums and I see your Gravatar here. If several days have passed and that change is not in evidence then post here for Gravatar support > http://en.gravatar.com/site/contact-us/

To set up Gravatar display on your own blog see the bottom of this page > Settings > Discussion scroll down to "Avatars"

  4. THanks for the response. So you see a picture there, or do you see that geometric design? The geometric blue and white design is what I don't wish to have show up. I would really like to be able to have a default image show up there instead of that.

Are you saying that the changes I've made through gravatar may take a few days, but they are in fact being made and I should be patient? I'll give it a few days to see if that's the case, but if this little geo-pattern persists I'll contact their support.

    Thank you!

  5. !

it just changed. I've been a bit impatient it seems. Thanks for the feedback

  6. You're welcome.
