I am trying to embed a video from youtube. I followed the instructions to embed the video, i.e., copy the url and then paste it into the post editor. I did that. The result: the text of the URL so that a viewer could click the link and be routed to youtube, but the video was in fact not embedded.
So. Why are your instructions not working?

The most common error is found in the troubleshooting section:

Make sure the YouTube link is not hyperlinked. If the URL is shown in your theme’s link color (as the second line in the screenshot below), then it is hyperlinked.
