How do I embed my google+ page onto my blog page like the Facebook Like page?

  1. I want to embed my google+ page onto my blog page under my Facebook Like page. I have the following embed code Google+ but do not see how to add this content to my blog page.

    The blog I need help with is prayercommunicationwithgod.wordpress.com.

  2. Currently there is no such native WordPress.com widget you can add to your sidebar for either Google + Pages or Profiles. However, you can add a link to either in your site's sidebar by going to this page while logged in to your Profile or Page on Google:

    https://developers.google.com/+/web/badge/

    Because of code restrictions on WordPress.com, you can only use the icon option. Once you have created the link, copy and paste the link you receive on Google+ into a Text Widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ you've added to your sidebar and save.

  3. justjennifer, thank you for trying to help me, but apparently I am STILL doing something wrong. :( When I try to do as you described above, I get a title that says "Follow Me on Google+" and the code shows up, but NOT the badge and nothing is clickable! I am so frustrated! I just don't understand what I am doing or trying to do....I so wish WordPress already had the Google+ page widget.......:(

  4. Did you choose the icon option? We cannot use the Badge there because of javascript restrictions.

    Try putting this into a text widget on your sidebar:

    <!-- Place this code where you want the badge to render. -->
    <a href="https://plus.google.com/114776037910135301689?prsrc=3"
       rel="publisher" target="_top" style="text-decoration:none;display:inline-block;color:#333;text-align:center; font:13px/16px arial,sans-serif;white-space:nowrap;">
    <span style="display:inline-block;font-weight:bold;vertical-align:top;margin-right:5px; margin-top:8px;">Follow me </span><span style="display:inline-block;vertical-align:top;margin-right:15px; margin-top:8px;">on</span>
    <img src="//ssl.gstatic.com/images/icons/gplus-32.png" alt="Google+" style="border:0;width:32px;height:32px;"/>
    </a>
  5. Oh, THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! That worked!!! You are a God send! I was so frustrated I was ready to smash the computer! :) All of my frustrations are gone now! May God bless you for your help! Thank you!

  6. You are most welcome.
