How do I export my list of blog followers?

  1. Hi,

I've moved my blog content to a website with a WordPress platform and I'm looking to use an email marketing system (mailchimp) to share my blogs through. How do I export my list of blog followers to Excel (or directly to Mailchimp) so that I can create a list in Mailchimp?

    Thanks!
    Shanna Covey

The blog I need help with is shannacovey.wordpress.com.

  2. Have you tried going here http://wordpress.com/#!/read/edit/ and clicking the export link?

  3. Provided you post blog URLs and install and activate Jetpack plugin on your WordPress.org site Staff can transfer your subscribers for you.

  4. Thanks! The person who is building my new website pulled over all of the content, so I didn't go through the WP service package. The content pulled over, but we were having trouble locating the list of blog followers.

  5. I repeat that if you want your subscribers to be transferred form your free hosted WordPress, com blog to your WordPress.org install you must install and activate Jetpack plugin on your WordPress.org site and provide the relevant blog URLs in this thread, then Staff can transfer your subscribers for you.

  6. form = from

  7. I just wanted to clarify that I'm not moving from wordpress.com to wordpress.org...I'm actually moving from wordpress.com to a completely different server. Does this change how the process works? My apologies for the confusion.

  8. Exactly which software does the site you have moved your content to run on?

  9. It's still a WordPress site but it's hosted through Bluehost. Okay, I think I understand what you're saying...even if it's a diff server, I still moved from .com to .org. Okay, so it looks like I need to do what you originally said:
Install and activate Jetpack plugin on my WordPress.org site (which is where my new site is located) and provide the relevant blog URLs in this thread, then Staff can transfer your subscribers for you.

Is the Jetpack plugin the paid $129 service for transferring the blog? Or is it a free plug-in?

Thank you again for all of your help and patience!

  10. Click the Jetpack link I provided above please and discover that the JetPpck plugin is free.

  11. Hi Timethief,

I recently moved my blog from .com to .org. The followers are nowhere to be seen and I have the Jetpack plugin active.
A friend tried to re-join and a message appeared saying that she is already registered. I can not find them though..
The blogs are http://www.whatijustlove.wordpress.com to http://www.whatijustlove.com.
    Thanks!

Please post your own thread and make sure you provide required information in it and type modlook into the tags in the sidebar of the thread. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1

  13. @shannacovey: I have transferred your WordPress.com subscribers and email followers as requested.

Please note it may take up to a day for the stats to accurately reflect the transfer.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

  14. Thank you so much! =)
