How do I find out info on my wordads status?

  1. We were recently accepted for the wordads program and have it active on the website, but the only information I've managed to find about payments is that it's when you reach a certain limit.
How do I find out how much you get per view and where can I check how much we've gained so far?

Searched the support page, the forums and google with no result.

The blog I need help with is thetorchslguide.com.

  2. Contact staff from your dashboard Help button and ask.

  3. The support is closed for questions, one of the reasons I ask here ;)

  4. We Volunteers don't have answers to these kind of questions. You applied to Staff and you need to contact Staff.

  5. Oh, I think you misunderstood me, I don't look for someone to tell me the status of my specific blog, I asked if someone knew where I could find it ;)

There have to be some sort of tool or infopage, otherwise the staff would be swamped with mail very shortly after people realize it takes more than a month to recieve payments ;)

  6. There isn't, trust me. I've been in the program since teh start and never found that information. Support will reopen tomorrow, contact them then.

  7. We are also facing same problem, Our blog is showing ads from Wordads program. But I failed to see any sort of tool or infopage for the details of Ad hits or receivables..Please help !

raincoaste has had a blog in the WordAds program since it began so please read what she said as there is no place on your dashboard you can view > "How do I find out how much you get per view and where can I check how much we've gained so far?"

    @atrocitynews
I'm sorry but the bottom line here is you must contact Staff directly on any WordAds issues, as we Volunteers cannot help with them at all. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  9. Staff told me the information is available by the end of February. Apparently, they need more time...

Please let us know if you get a reply from Staff.

    Thanks!

  10. I contacted Staff a week ago and have not yet heard a reply. I think it's weird that I've had ads for Levis and Motorola on my blog for the past month and no one from Federated Media/Word Ads can tell me when I can expect to be paid. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who hears anything.

  11. The ads you're seeing on your blog are not from WordAds. If accepted into the program, we'll contact you first to go over the details.

To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements, and the agreement for this has been in our terms of service since 2006.

Again, these are not part of WordAds.

We try hard to only run them in limited places. If you would like to completely eliminate ads from appearing on your blog, we offer the No-Ads Upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

Please let us know if you have any more questions!

  12. I actually WAS accepted into the program by WordAds. Did you look at my blog? It says "WordAds" next to every single ad. Please let me know the terms of my contract.

  13. Yes, the ads labeled as WordAds are from WordAds, but the other ads you're describing occurred before you were accepted into the WordAds program.

We are only running Intel ads under WordAds at this time.

  14. Thanks but you still haven't answered my questions. When can I expect to be paid for WordAds and what exactly are the terms of my contract?

  15. We don't have direct access to that information. I recommend replying to the acceptance email that you received for WordAds to get in touch with the right folks.

  16. How many hits do my blog need to have in order to be accepted for the program, anyone?
    Thks

  18. an ad has suddenly appeared on my blog. it is a photo of a man sitting on a park bench with the words "will the right ads find you" superimposed on the photo. when i click on it ...nothing except for the message
can’t open the page “http://www.youradchoices.com/” because Safari can’t find the server “www.youradchoices.com”.
this does not seem like a very good ad as it goes nowhere.
i don't really want it on my blog because of this....it reflects badly because i hope that my blog IS going somewhere.
how can i get rid of this badly designed piece of tat?

I'll flag this thread for Staff attention. Please be patient while waiting for a response.

Just to be clear has your blog been accepted into the WordAds Program? This is why I'm asking that question. WordPress.com has been running advertising on our free hosted blogs since 2006. Many bloggers do not know this because despite the fact they ticked the box required to get a free blog, they did not read the ToS. Many also do not read features page, or advertising entry in the support documents after registering their username and blog(s). Also note that as the ads do not display to us when we are logged in, and as many use browsers with ad blockers when logged out, they may not realize they are there at all. The only way to get rid of all advertising on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs is to purchase an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade.

If you feel an ad is inappropriate please take a screenshot of it and send it to Staff by emailing support@wordpress.com or upload it into your Media Library

  20. thank you timethief for your reply.
no, my blog has not been accepted into the WordAs program (as far as I know. i have never applied) I fully accept that ads help to fund wordpress and that is great. it's the fact that this ad doesn't seem to link properly to its home site that i object to.
thanks again for your help, i appreciate it.

  21. Understood. Note what I posted above, take a screenshot and email it to Staff.
