How do I get to wordpress chat help?

  1. Once it was on the bottom of my screen now it is gone and I cannot find it. Thanks

The blog I need help with is thehomesickchef.com.

  2. There is no chat support here and there is no phone support. Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively on this peer support forum. Bloggers post their support issues into threads and in most cases Volunteers help them resolve those issues. When Staff assistance is required threads are flagged for Staff attention.

We are here to help. Please state what you need help with.

  3. That is very strange. I had a live chat with someone named Karim and I even received A "Rate your support experience. Thanks for you help!

  4. Well, I have been here for over 6 years and I'm not aware of any support being offered by chatlines or by phone.

  5. Setting that aside, what exactly is it that you need help with please?

  6. timethief, just today I've had a chat box open at the bottom right of my screen with a name of deborah. I typed my question and a return response with a wordpress address appeared with the answer I was looking for. Ghost in the machine??

  7. We do offer chat support, but we are limiting it by only showing it to a percentage of users on a percentage of pages.

If you need help and don't see the option, you can always ask via http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  8. @macmanx
Exactly where would I look to see if chat support is available to me please?

  9. You definitely won't see it. Currently, it's limited to only a percentage of users who have signed up in the past 14 days.

  10. Okay and thanks for the reply.

  11. You're welcome!

  12. Interesting. Will this become a more widespread option?

  13. Well, there goes my "pay by the minute phone and chat support" business model. Curse that kid Matt, always one step ahead of me!

  14. Interesting. Will this become a more widespread option?

Possibly. As we hire more qualified Happiness Engineers, we'll probably increase the percentage, but I imagine that it will still be restricted to users who have signed up in the past 14 days.
