how do i have a 'site title' without it being displayed on my site ?

  1. Hi,

    I want to name my blog, but when i do the title appears by default in the top left of my page.

    I am using Modularity Lite theme.

    my blog here > danniogilvie.wordpress.com

    how do i turn this off?

    cheers,

    danni.

    The blog I need help with is danniogilvie.wordpress.com.

  2. how do i turn the display off, while still keeping site title ?

  3. This option is theme dependent. Modularity Lite does not have the option to hide the text.

    See here for the full list: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/header-images/

  4. The following blog doesnt have displayed, but definitely has a 'site title' of 'nocheapthrills'

    > http://nocheapthrills.wordpress.com/

    and it it using the same theme as me.

    do i need to upgrade for CSS enabling or something ?

  5. It could be hidden from view using CSS if you had the Custom Design Upgrade.

  6. can it for sure ?

    does anyone know?

    thanks for your replies they're all great.

  7. Go to appearance > custom design > CSS, delete the informational text from the edit window and paste the following in. Then click the preview button. In some instances you may have to force refresh the preview page in order to see the change.

    #masthead h4 {
    text-indent: -999px;
    }
  8. cheers,

    i'll buy the upgrade as soon as i can afford some bread and i'll do that.

    thanks sacredpath you're great to have on here.

  9. Thanks and you are welcome.
