How do I install Page Links To?

  1. On wordpress.org I have Page Links To installed to link my blog to my site. How do I do the same to link my site to my blog on wordpress.com?

    The blog I need help with is letterpresslace.wordpress.com.

  2. Provided I understand what you have posted and I'm not convinced that I do I think your are asking how do I create a custom menu on my blog.

    Setting up a menu is easy as pie, provided you know the differences between Posts and Pages, and the differences between static Pages, (which will never automatically update) and dynamic Categories pages which will automatically update when you publish Posts with Categories assigned to them.

    There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and there are some tweaks you can use to improve your custom menu as well.

  3. Hi Timethief,

    That's not what I was referring to. On wordpress.org there's a plugin called Page Links To. When you click on "My Blog" on my toolbar, it automatically re-directs people to my wordpress.com page. What I want to do is have an item on my toolbar of my blog that will go directly back to my business site, but I'm not finding the same plugin.

  4. There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on WordPress.com blogs and no upgrade you can buy to acquire it.

    You can create a custom menu and add a custom link to your site into it.

  5. You want the paid redirect upgrade, perhaps.

  6. Hi raincoaster,

    That sounds more like what I'm looking for. Where do I find it, and how much is it?

  7. @raincoaster
    OH! Is that what she means?

    @lindsaybishop
    Is this what you want to do? http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

  8. I don't want to re-direct the whole site, just if you click on one tab. For instance, my tabs are Home, About Lindsay, Contact Us, and Lindsay Bishop Events. If you click on Lindsay Bishop Events, I want it to re-direct you to my business page.

  9. RIGHT and that's exactly what will happen if you create a custom menu on the blog and add a custom link to your site into it. Label it whatever you want to call it "Website" or ?
