How do I make a High Quality Header?

    -PLEASE HELP-

    How do I make my site header really good quality, like the one on this site:

    http://pengtube.wordpress.com/

    Please help, is it a certain file format?

    With non-photographic images such as your example you want to save them as PNG or GIF, but PNG is actually better as it produces smaller file sizes with equal or better quality. Do not use JPG unless the image is photographic.
