first they need to register as a user on the blog, then you need to go to the Users section of the dashboard and change their rank to administratior. However i HIGHLY reccomend you dont do that.

If you just want them to be able to make posts, then set tham as an Author. Which is one step below being an admin, safer for you and your blog

  3. how do they register as a user?

  4. Go to the main wordpress.com website and register is the easiest way or you could send them an invite through the same screen in your admin for users.

  5. Yeah, I use the INVITE feature on the User's option I think. Its easier for them.

  6. How come you have posts that I can barely understand what you're trying to say, and this post is written correctly.

  7. What don't you understand serversblog. It says to go to the admin area of their blog and to the users section. In there is where you would promote them to an administrator. They don't recommend they do that because once they are an administrator, they can kick you off your own blog. Therefore, the Author might be better as they can still post and do most things on the blog, but not the high end adminstrative functions that only the blog own should have.

Unless I am missing something, that is what they are saying and it makes perfect sense to me! ;)

  8. Well... I don't understand? he is asking for help to promote her/his friend to be an Administrator. That's his problem if he promotes the wrong person. I completely know that is risky, and there's a high percentage that this person is going to take over her/his blog, But who in gods name is going to promote someone to be an administrator of a blog if they don't know that person?

  9. Take it easy! Read what they said:

i need help can some 1 help me! i need to know how to make my friend a administrator.

They know the person and they invite and add a user to their blog by the email address of that user. We have to assume that they know the email of their friend and hense will have the right user.

  10. No, what I said was meant to be a question. Anyways.... I would never let any of my friends administrate my website/blogs.

To me it dosent matter who they are, i could of known them for decades and i still wouldn't let them be an administrator on my blog. At best i'd make them an author. Sure they could be my bestest bud in the world, but buds fall out and have fights. Personally id rather not wake up one morning after such a fight and find my blog deleted (i know someone that happened to).

The only exception to this is if your making a joint blog, but even then i'd say just have the one administrator.

  12. timatsdisciple , Look at the post in top of yours....
