How do I make WordPress parse LaTex?

    I put the following LaTex code in a post:

    $latex overline{Quantity, on, hand}left ( Item right )= overline{Consumption, rate}left ( Item right )times overline{Replenishment, lead, time}left ( Item right )$

    In the published post, this LaTex source appears instead of the formula.

    How do I tell WordPress to parse it?
