Are not accurate for me.
I have now cancelled the domain in an attempt to release it form WordPress.com
Can anyone shed any light on this process ?

Since dotmasters.co.uk/ is not registered at WordPress.COM - just go to your registrar and change the name servers to your new host - those instructions will not work here since your domain name is not registered here -
It looks like you've managed to point your domain dotmaster.co.uk to your new host. As auxclass mentioned, since your domain wasn't registered with WordPress.com, those instructions don't apply to you.
