   I would like to move my WordPress Blog to another host. How do I do this and still use my domain name?

   My other host says...

   "You have to export/download the backup of the DB used in the wordpress installation
   in .sql format. Next you have to upload the files and folders in your account via FTP, and then create a MySQL DB with the same DB credentials and import the .sql file to that DB."

   The problem is... the export/download the backup of the DB used in the wordpress installation is in xml format, not in .sql format.

   Can anyone help?

   Yes. Install a vanilla WordPress. The XML file is an exchange format between already running instances of WordPress.
