How do I purchase domain mapping?

  1. We bought the domain name http://www.tkcaudio.com from godaddy a few years ago. My predecessor figured out how to make it map to tkcaudio.wordpress.com. Recently, our subscription for wordpress domain mapping ran out and the http://www.tkcaudio.com link on our main website no longer works.

Now I am trying (ever more desperately) to renew our domain mapping upgrade at wordpress. However, the instructions on how to do this do not work with the screens I am looking at. There is no Upgrade button on my blog's dashboard page, not is there a Settings option.

Does anyone know how to purchase the Domain Mapping Upgrade from wordpress?

The blog I need help with is tkcaudio.wordpress.com.

  2. The instructions for purchasing and setting up domain mapping from WordPress.com are found in the support documentation. To use an existing domain with WordPress.com, follow the directions to map an existing domain (one you already own) to your WordPress.com blog.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/
    http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  3. If there is no upgrade button are you sure you are logged in as an admin?

  4. How would I know whether I'm logged in as an admin?

  5. Look at your User status

    Dashboard >> Users >> Users

You should see (or at least if you are the Admin) a list of users with their roll - if you are Admin you will see your name with Admin under Roll.

Not sure exactly what you will see if you are not an Admin as it has been a while since I logged in as a lesser Roll.
