How do I remove WP codes from my blog's Facebook page?

  1. My last post shows WP coding on the Facebook page instead of text. I can't edit on Facebook. How can I remove the coding? (The published page is fine.)--Thank you

The blog I need help with is geriotica.wordpress.com.

  3. What actual coding does it show?

  4. Hi--thanks for responding. Three lines of coding (minus quotes), exactly as typed below:

    "Normal 0 false false false
    MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\:*
    {behavior:url (# ieooui)} Style Definitions */"

Link is fine, it goes to the blog. This never happened before; 4 lines of text always appeared. I made a minor edit and republished, hoping FB page would be corrected. No luck. Thanks again for any clues.

  5. Are you by chance copy/pasting from Microsoft Word? That is what the code looks like to me, because it has a lot of weird formatting code in it. If so, edit the post, go to the Text editor rather than the visual editor, and edit it there. Strip out all unneccesary tags

  6. Hi--Thanks again. I've always copied/pasted from MS Word with no problems. I went to Text (not Visual) Editor & streamlined tags. Nothing changed. Code string still shows on FB page. Any other suggestions?

  7. Yes. Stop using MS Word. Facebook is constantly changing, WordPress is constantly changing, and neither of them make allowances for software like Word that is non-web-compliant.

Clean up the code. Delete your post from FB. Clear your FB cache. http://umairj.com/146/how-to-clear-facebook-shares-cache/ then re-share the link.

  8. Thank you again for your suggestions an time. Have a great day!
