   I am trying to set up a Suburbia blog. How do I make it with 2 wide columns on the homepage? I see it like that in the theme examples but can't figure out how to change the width of the columns...

   The blog I need help with is thebuypass.wordpress.com.

   In Suburbia, you get a double-width post if you mark it as a sticky.
