Noowww, that I have my archives, I want my first page to be blank as in new start due to the fact that the last blog I posted was last year. I do not want the page to display anything from the previous years, just the current posts. How do I do this?

You can publish your new post, set your blog to display only one post per page, and then each time you post something new, increase the number by one until you have reached the maximum number of posts you want to display per page (e.g., 5 or 6 is often a good number, depending on the blog).
There's no way to have this done automatically. You'll need to change the display each time manually. You find these options under your Dashboar, Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most ___ posts.
