How do I talk to a person?

  1. Hi there...I thought I just signed up for "elementalfranceblog.com", not "elementalfranceblog.wordpress.com". Would you please contact me at 203-263-6500. I also have already reserved the domain name "elementalfrance.com" with GoDaddy.com. how do I map it and get it to work with the wordpress site?

    Many thanks,
    Tracey

  2. Hi there,
We aren't zombies here. What makes you think that we aren't real live human beings?

  3. I am totally new to this and have no idea how to do it. I wasnt suggesting you weren't real live human beings...I am just a troglodyte who wants tp pick up a phone. I thought I was signing up for a template to build a website...instead, I have a blogsite? Maybe you can tell me how to navigate this.

    Thanks!

  4. Hello there,
Blogger are writers. Perforce they are capable of comprehending and following written instructions with a little help from friends. You want to map an existing domain (one you already own) to your WordPress.com blog and there are written instructions for that. Follow these instructions if you already have a domain that you registered elsewhere, and you want to map that domain to your blog. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

P.S. There is no phone support here. If you have purchased an upgrade then you can contact Staff directly using this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ If you have not purchased an upgrade then simply post what you need help with into a forum thread.

This is a peer support forum where Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver WordPress.com support. Volunteers answer most questions and Staff monitor. When Volunteers cannot provide the required support we flag threads for Staff attention.

A blog is a type of website that shows that newest content at the top of the page. A blog can also be one part of a website with multiple pages. See here for Using WordPress.com to Create a Website http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/

  6. Many thanks...I actually am a writer, but need help on following instructions. I appreciate your help and your patience...but "perforce?" LOL!

  7. perforce - necessarily ;)
