How do I tell wordpress.com my blog is in a different directory than home

  1. My blog listed in http://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs goes to http://www.fatheringforum.org/wp-admin/ when it should go to http://www.fatheringforum.org/files/wp-admin/

How do I fix that, I can't seem to edit it?

    Thank you,
    KEF for fatheringforum
    Blog url: http://www.fatheringforum.org/

  2. I'm sorry but you have posted to the wrong support forum and will have to post to http://wordpress.ORG/support to get help. On this support forum we provided support only to those bloggers who have free blogs from and being free hosted by WordPress.com, and as our software is not the same as yours we cannot help you.

  3. In order to use Jetpack, I need a wordpress.com account.

It turns out the reason Jetpack wasn't directing properly had to do with Buddypress and wordpress.com. I disabled BP and it's working now.

However my blog is still listed under My Blogs in Dashboard and I can't edit it. As long as it doesn't cause any more problems it doesn't matter.

  4. Jetpack [by wordpress.com] and BuddyPress Do Not Always Play Nice Together

  5. But that's not a Jetpack issue, and we can't help you.

  6. It's not a Jetpack issue but it is a wordpress.com issue. The link in My Blogs doesn't resolve to the proper wp-admin directory. I'm ignoring it as I don't need it, but it should work (without needed a redirect on my part). If My Blogs isn't intended to work with self-hosted installations, it shouldn't be there.

  7. Then you need to contact staff via email support at wordpress dot com. The forum can't help you.

  8. Thank you! I didn't realize this was a community-only post when I indicated Public on the form. Much appreciated.
