My domain name expired and I want to move it to a self hosted WordPress. How do I find the authorization code so that I can initiate the transfer? Automattic doesn't recognize my ownership of the domain because it is expired and I have done everything else that I need to for the transfer.
The blog I need help with is mitchbrunkow.com.

When a domain expires, you lose ownership of it, and it becomes the property of the registrar or (in our case) the registrar partner.
In this case, you have a few choices.
You could allow the domain to expire, and you may be able to re-purchase it through your desired registrar in a month or so. We can't guarantee if that will happen, as the domain is the property of our registrar partner, and they may have other plans for it.
You can renew the domain for the standard rate plus an extra fee added by our registrar partner before March 13 and then transfer it. If you'd like to do that, please let me know, and I'll send you the details ASAP.
