I seem to recall that at one time I could turn off comments for a particular post so that people could see the comments posted but no new comments could be added. I can't find that capability now.
The blog I need help with is leisureguy.wordpress.com.
Edit a post then uncheck allow comments or something like that.
By default this is at the bottum of the post edit page

Oops, replied too soon. I went to the post, clicked "edit" and there is no option to discontinue comments. I thought perhaps that was because the post already had comments, so I clicked "new post" ---- again, no option to block comments.
I think you have the same memory as I: we used to be able to do that, but the ability has been removed. Or is there a way I haven't found?
It is in the "discussion" section below the main text area (unless you have chosen to hide that section. If there is not a "discussion" section under the text area, click on "screen options" at the top of the page and select "discussion" and it will then display for you.
