How do I unhide comments on my blog?

How do I unhide the comments left on my posts? Right now viewers have to click on the 'Comment' button in order to read them.

I want to make it easy for people to read and leave comments on my blog. The majority of blogs I've visited have comments showing right under each post, so I know it's possible. Just can't figure out how.

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is findingjoyandtruth.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi. You are referring to comments on the front page, right? At WordPress.com, it's only possible with the P2 theme, which is designed for discussions more than blogging. In all other themes, comments are only displayed when viewing the post individually.

Thanks for your reply. I'm new here and learning as I go along.

Even when I click on my individual posts, the comments are still hidden and I have to click on the button to see them. Which isn't the case when I visit other people's blogs -the comments are right there under each post.

    Can you explain this? Thanks!

  4. That's not actually true. You've got your blog set to display only one post per page. Blog comments are never shown on the front page of the blog. If you click on the title of the post, you go to that post's unique page, as opposed to the main blog, and you can see the comments instantly.

I suggest you allow more than one post per page and then it'll clarify how to see the comments.

Check any blog: "the comments are right there under each post" when you view that single post, not when you view the home page.

    For example, no comments here:
    http://airodyssey.net/
    yes comments here:
    http://airodyssey.net/2011/08/08/tvc-iranair-vintageusa/
