How do I unlock the secret color scheme in the Fruit Shake theme?

  1. How do I unlock the secret color scheme in the Fruit Shake theme?

The blog I need help with is igoddesses.wordpress.com.

  2. Ge here > Appearance > Theme Options and make your choice

  3. Ge was meant to be "Go"

  4. That doesn't work, theres supposedly another one. Those three (Banana, Blueberry and Dragonfruit) aren't secret, those are the regular options. Anyone figured it out or is it a gimmick? This theme isn't really that wonderful. Don't answer the question if you don't have an actual answer it's pretty annoying.

  5. lifeisagony: Yeah. I tried googling it, but I couldn't find anything.

  6. @lifeisagony
This is the result of clicking your username link
    idontexistyet.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this blog.
Until you post an active link starting with http:// to the living blog in question we cannot help you.

    @sunnypiglet
The blog linked to your username is wearing the Beach theme. Until you post an active link starting with http:// to the living blog in question we cannot help you. Why you are using Google is beyond me.

  7. The color options for Fruit Shake are found exactly where I stated. above. Appearance > Theme Options. I know that for a fact because I used my test blog and located them and changed them before I posted into this thread. There is no secret at all. See here > http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/fruit-shake/

Go to your Admin page and on the top right hand corner click > screen options"
    Select all the modules there.
Go here > Appearance > Themes
Select Fruit Shake and click "activate"
Then go here > Theme Options and make your color choice and click "save options"

  8. I've not figured out how to get to the "secret" scheme yet either. Someone will stumble upon it at some point I expect.

  9. @TSP
My sense of humor is a dry as melba toast or maybe even drier. Maybe one has to activate the "Surprise me. (Fun mode.)" setting on the "Personal Settings". I disabled that immediately after it was introduced. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/04/17/surprise-me/

  10. Or maybe it's just the special widget that has a different recipe for each different color.

  11. The staff announcement was "there may be... or not" sort of thing, so perhaps they are playing with us. Some one will figure it out I expect if there is.

  12. There is a secret flavour. It's a variation of one of the existing three choices. :-)

But, I just don't know how to activate it. I'll keep searching...

  13. It might be something that activates after you've posted a certain number of posts. I didn't realize this was a new theme. If it becomes downloadable I can poke around in the images folder to see what the other background looks like. I just don't like this theme very much. Timethief: I didn't update my main blog link.

  14. My default icon looks like a nazi swastika. o O

  15. nvm i changed my username and now its different...much better lol!

  16. I didn't even notice there was supposed to be a "secret" when I read the Fruit Shake post. Well, I'm not using it anyway. But I hope somebody finds out what all the fuss is about!

  17. @airodyssey Keep looking! :)

  18. The staff announcement was "there may be... or not" sort of thing, so perhaps they are playing with us. Some one will figure it out I expect if there is.

I'm pretty sure there is one.

  19. @sunnypiglet
Did you notice what Staff posted immediately above you comment?

  20. Theres a hidden "flavor"? Cool! I'll start looking for it, and post here if I find it.

  21. @timethief do you like trolling? Cuz you have nothing of substance to contribute to this thread you didn't even try using this theme! Your attitude has been pretty passive agressive: pointing out our blog themes/ what our links are etc.

"Until you post an active link starting with http:// to the living blog in question we cannot help you. Why you are using Google is beyond me. "

Not even apologizing because you don't know what you're talking about.

Why do you need to see the theme in her link to know anything about this theme?

  22. @jennifer3000
Hello. I have this theme running on one of my test blogs. I had it up and running when I posted above. I have no intention of apologizing to you or anyone else. Those who have done nothing wrong have no need to apologize.

We Volunteers always ask for link to the blog in question when we find a username is not linked to a blog, or when we find a deleted blog is linked to the username. Some days we have as many as 30% of those posting to this forum who ought to be posting to WordPress.ORG which runs on different software and has different versions of themes by the same names that we have.

The next time you any need help feel free to post here and we Volunteers will be glad to help you. Alternatively you can visit my blog and I'll be pleased to help you learn more about beginner blogging here at WordPress.com.

  23. The description in the CSS of the theme says:
"Fruit Shake features multiple fruit flavors (color schemes actually, including a secret unlockable one)".
    And Ian says this too:

  24. All I have found to in regards to the "secret" is changing the background color, and I like the results.

    I selected > apperarance > background > Display Options > and then
I picked the color from the color wheel. It can be used with the 3 different fruit options, to change how it looks. I don't know if it is the "secret" fruit, but I am really happy with it. The widget colors on the side stay the same as the original 3 fruit choices. I picked a green with the banana theme. Now it is a 1940s retro color scheme like I was looking for. Thanks, Automatic! Here is how mine turned out: http://hanburyhome.wordpress.com/

  25. I went to the svn repository and looked at the code the day the theme was released, to establish exactly what the secret fruit was and how you unlock it.

I also hunt out spoilers for TV shows and read the last page of books before I start them.

  26. @wank
    lol :D
