How Do You Create A Separate Page For Authors To Post In?

  1. Okay, so my cousin became a writer for my blog, so I created a separate page for him, right here: http://loganruckman.wordpress.com/matthew-kutruff/

The problem is, he can't post on that page, and I can't either. Well, we can, but we can't make separate posts, only a description of the page. Is there a way to create a page just for him to write on, with separate posts, or will he have to post on the homepage? Or if I can do that, will I have to get the premium service?

The blog I need help with is loganruckman.wordpress.com.

  2. Since I'm on the topic, is it possible to change the name of the homepage so that it says my name instead of "Home?"

  3. Your approach is wrong. You are misunderstanding how blogs are designed to operate.

Pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ we bloggers create are static and cannot automatically update. But the dynamic categories pages created by the software will automatically update.

Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page. We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.

  4. Okay, thank you!

  5. You're welcome.
