How do you install a new Studio Press theme on existing blog?

  1. I just purchased the LifeStyle Child theme from StudioPress, and I'm trying to implement that from the admin page of my existing blog - militarycruisedeals.wordpress.com. But it's only giving me the option of 'managing' my themes instead of INSTALL a theme (which I paid $79 for)
    Can you help?

  2. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins, upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

There is no upgrade that you can purchase from WordPress.com that provides FTP access and the ability to upload third themes. To use that theme you will need to hire a web host and set up a self hosted WordPress.org install. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  3. YIKES! Just a minute. Do you mean you purchased this premium theme through WordPress.com? http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/lifestyle/

If so then read-access to the premium themes forum is now open to all users so you can search to see if your question has been previously asked and answered in the premium theme forums are at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/ with separate sections for each theme. http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/lifestyle/

If you are not successful when searching there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.
