How do you rearrange the posts with the Hatch Theme?

  1. I made my portfolio site with the Hatch theme with each of my projects as a different post. I want to rearrange the posts to my liking but it automatically arranges them based on the post date.

I would also want to make an option for people to sort through the posts based on the categories I put them in. Any way to do that?

The blog I need help with is eneriirene.wordpress.com.

  2. If you created them as blog posts, they will be displayed in the chronological order that you posted them in. You could edit the publication dates to put them in a different order, but if you need more granular control, I'd create Pages instead. For more info about posts vs pages, take a look at the following article:

  3. Blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool wherein the most recent post is display on top. You cannot change this order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. It's designed to serve your visitors as they come to read the most recent posts and will not be inclined to trawl through hundreds of posts to locate it.

As andrewcpht pointed out above you can falsify date stamps to create a different order.

See here for the option of creating a book-like structure > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ Perhaps that will work for you.

Or you could use a single sticky post as an index page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
