How do you remove embedded video ads in individual blog links? I paid for domain

  1. How do you remove embedded video ads in individual blog links?
    I paid for domain.
    Thank you for any help!

The blog I need help with is liamomahony.com.

  2. You paid for a domain and domain mapping and that's what you got - nothing more and nothing less. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading

  3. WordPress.com has been running advertising on our free hosted blogs since 2006. Many bloggers do not know this because despite the fact they ticked the box required to get a free blog, they did not read the ToS. Many also do not read advertising entry in the support documents after registering their username and blog(s). Also note that as the ads do not display to us when we are logged in, and as many use browsers with ad blockers when logged out, they may not realize they are there at all.

The only way to get rid of all advertising on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs is to purchase an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade.

  4. Thank you for your help!

  5. You're welcome and thanks for not shooting the messenger. :)

  6. I literally cannot believe the number of complaints about that video. Why is Jennifer Aniston a star if everyone loathes her work so much?

  7. What boggled my mind was the blogger alleging that the Water ads which depicts Jennifer Aniston with a pregnant belly is porno ad. Since when did the display of a pregnant belly become a display of sexual organs or sexual activity?

  8. Yes, that was flat out bizarre.

  9. But it won't be the end of it - mark my words. There are those fringe folks who do believe that pregnant bellies are obscene.

  10. I just think the "pregnant jennifer aniston ad" has no place on my blog which is travel related. Hopefully someone from wordpress can respond and at a minimum say whether they will replace the ad with something else.

I strongly suggest that every blogger who has a business blog purchase a custom design upgrade. That's the only way to prevent their competitor's advertising from appearing on their blogs. http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

  12. You mean the No Ads upgrade. And yes, I recommend all business bloggers buy it.

  13. @raincoaster
oops! Thanks for that correction. Indeed "custom design upgrade" was meant to be No-Ads Upgrade but I was laughing so hard I made a mistake.

    Pregnant women don't travel?

  15. And don't drink water?
