Hi Guys,
I publish my blog on my website and then the RSS feed is picked up by a couple of other sites who aggregates content.
I am at a delima between the benfits of having unique content to help my SEO rankings so people find me naturally vs the benefits of having my content exposed to more people because those sites have much higher traffic?
Any thoughts or experiences?
FYI I am using wordpress.com as a blogging platform.
The blog I need help with is chrisheffer.com.
I am in the same dilemma myself, deciding whether to syndicate my blog for more exposure, but don't want it to negatively affect SEO.
This is what Google says about syndicate content:
Syndicate carefully: If you syndicate your content on other sites, Google will always show the version we think is most appropriate for users in each given search, which may or may not be the version you'd prefer. However, it is helpful to ensure that each site on which your content is syndicated includes a link back to your original article. You can also ask those who use your syndicated material to use the noindex meta tag to prevent search engines from indexing their version of the content.

All Word-press blogs have multiple built-in feeds. Th syntax is well known and and we cannot prevent anyone from subscribing to those feeds on a public blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/feeds/

short form; IT SUCKS. Search engines naturally see duplicate content as spam and downgrade both sites.
