How much time do you spend on your blog each day

  1. Now that the grip of obsession is finally starting to let go I am curious.

How much time each day do you spend writing, reading, reformatting, etc?

The blog I need help with is breakingtherubberband.wordpress.com.

  2. Writing, up to a couple of hours depending on what I'm writing and who for.

Reading, far too long. I subscribe to a lot of people so I try to read as much as I can. But it's all worth it. Better than watching television or you know, looking for a job.

  3. That is a relief - I was afraid I may be still spending waaaay too much time. It usually takes me a couple of hours to to do a post in the morning. I read quite a bit and can't keep my hands out of tinkering with the format.

  4. I have 3 blogs + guest for 4th blog.

So that's 1 blog post per week. Several hrs. per blog post --writing, selecting and formatting photos.

People who don't blog (nor write creatively for fun) probably think we're a bit nuts. But no different than cycling for several hrs. each time (which is what I do in warm seasons) or gardening, renovating a house, sewing a garment, etc.

I justify that time as "me" time as well creating something that will last for a few years for people who know me well to read it,....if no one else will look at it. To me, it's my expression of some best parts of how I live my life. :)

  5. Oh, about an hour or two, I think. Depends on what work I have to do, but normal is about an hour or so.

It depends on how much homework I have for school. I would say I spend about 2 hours on a light day, but that is also reading other peoples blogs and trying to find new topics to write about.

I also have the WordPress app on my iPhone and that makes me a little bit more crazy about how many views I get a day.

Can anyone tell me what a syndicated view is? I'm getting some every day but don't know the difference in that and on-site views. Thanks

  8. Hmm, im not sure..

My traffic actually picked up a good bit already and the syndicated hits have picked up too. Not near as many as regular views but I still have no idea of the difference.
Thanks. Any more info would be good.

  10. Ooh depends on my Muse. If he's in attendance it can be hours. I also tinker with editing images and the like. At the moment I'm posting, in three parts, my first (and only slightly edited) story I ever wrote in my genre.
