How to add a link to the "Links" widget?

  1. Hi, this may sound a very silly question but I've been trying intuitively to figure out how to add a link (of a blog I really like) to my "Links" widget on the sidebar on the right. I'm using Chateau theme, and although I have done it in the past as I have put some other links to blogs and websites there, I cannot remember now how to do it. The title of the Links widget is "Off The Planet" and I would like to add a few more blogs and websites that I like there. I also tried the "Blogs I follow" widget but yet again where on Earth do you put the actual link to the blogs you follow?!

    Many thanks for any help.

The blog I need help with is activeintuition.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there,
You cannot enter links into the Links widget directly. If you wish you create a blogroll of related sites that you recommend to your readers then you enter the links into it in your dashboard Links section and display them in a Links widget.

  3. I also tried the "Blogs I follow" widget

You cannot enter links into the Blogs I follow widget directly. Read the guide here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/blogs-i-follow-widget/

  6. Hey youngd2632,

Plugins aren't supported on WordPress.com. The plugin you're referring to (Black Studio TinyMCE) is meant for the self-hosted WordPress software from WordPress.org.

If you're looking to get started with the WordPress software from WordPress.org, check here first: http://codex.wordpress.org/New_To_WordPress_-_Where_to_Start

  7. Hi Time Thief,
Thank you very much for your advice. I've now managed to update my links and have created a proper Blogroll too. I even included your blogs which is something I was meant to do a long time ago! :)
