How do I add a sticky or something to make a entry always on home page? I have an entry that explains how and why we started homesteading and its very appliable to anyone that would view my blog. Any ideas how to make it easy to view

Your "How we got started" is fairly long - I would think about using a Custom Menu and referencing the Post in the header - that will not have your visitors looking at a long static post all the time and they will see fresh stuff every time they visit - or you can use the "Read More" to only show part of a Post.
